Hillside Wonder (study)

Hillside Wonder (study), L. Daniel, 6 x 8

I have a "thing" for silhouettes against big skies... they always bring out the wonder in me. This sky was almost swirling with the color and movement of the clouds.

Oh wow. You really do skies better than most! Simple but "dead on"! Love it. Thanks for sharing.

Laurel,

You strike the balance of the landscape's subtle rich tones to the sky's brilliance so beautifully.
Would love to see a 'big sky' in a larger format...really big.

: )

Laurel,
Your landscapes are just so beautiful and natural. The colors are unified but still have that pop to them like in this sky- those colors are amazing. I also have tree envy- your trees are second to none! Love the whole study.

So gorgeous. If this is a study, I think I better get back to work. It's miraculous like every painting you ever do.

Happiest of New Years.

This is beautiful. My daughter here in Houston had friends in Austin (she goes to UT) texting her about the gorgeous sky y'all got a couple of days ago. We got that same sky last night . . . maybe it all had to do with the recent storm. Your painting is breathtaking!
